“Adding years to people's lives through the magic of science and medicine, however impressive, is an insufficient ambition for American Society. Our objective, must be to add new life to those years.”

,
1961 White House Conference on Aging

Support Us

The Silver Century Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. Its IRS identification number is: 30-0100604.

If you would like to offer financial support for our programs or for the website's vital new approaches to aging, please contact us either by email or phone. We will be happy to talk with you, answer any questions, and discuss how we can work together on the Foundation's goals that you most want to see achieved.

Writing Submissions

The Silver Century Foundation wants to add to its pool of freelance writers. The Foundation seeks journalists, columnists, and photojournalists, as well as essayists, humorists, poets, and scholars who write on the issues of aging. Please note that the Foundation's concern with aging goes beyond older people. It focuses on the process of growing older and challenges the view, common in our culture, that aging inevitably means decline. We see life's later years as a time of fulfillment. We are interested in how society influences the experience of growing older, and we wish to attract to the website people who are young and middle-aged, as well as older, to consider and plan for their own aging.

Writers who are interested should contact Katherine Klotzburger, the president of the Foundation, directly by email () or phone (609-430-4790) or send a letter of inquiry, a resume, and at least three writing samples by mail.
