Green House Replication Initiative
The Green House Replication Initiative has funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop Green House homes around the country. The website explains this compassionate alternative to a nursing home, which houses six to ten frail residents in a family-sized dwelling. National Geographic on “New Urbanism”
The National Geographic explains “New Urbanism” on this web page. It’s a concept that rejects sprawling, car-dependent suburbs for communities designed for walking that are more like a traditional small town.
